A few days ago, Living The Scene officially went live for pre-order.

I’ll be honest… I had no idea what to expect.

The response over the past couple of days has been incredible. Every notification that another pre-order came in has been both exciting and a little surreal. After spending well over a year researching, writing, revising, fact-checking, digging through hundreds of gigabytes of archives, and now working through the final proofing process, seeing people believe in this project enough to reserve a copy before it’s even released means more than I can put into words.

What’s especially exciting is that the initial print run is based largely on the number of pre-orders. Watching those numbers climb has made this whole thing start to feel very, very real.

There’s still work to do. I’m putting the finishing touches on the interior, reviewing the latest proof, and making sure everything is exactly the way I want it before I send it off to print. It’s the least I can do for a project that means this much to me.

And then…

October 3rd.

Cherry Street Station.

A room full of friends.

Five incredible bands.

A celebration of twenty years of Official FN Radio.

And, for the first time, I’ll finally get to put Living The Scene into your hands.

That thought is still hard to wrap my head around.

This book has always been about documenting a community that gave me so much over the last two decades. The fact that so many of you want to be part of this next chapter is something I’ll never take for granted.
